Louie the Neapolitan Mastiff

Feb 06

Wow is all that I can say! It has been 18 months since Louies amputation and 19 months since his initial osteosarcoma diagnosis. He continues to be his happy, goofy, pain in the butt self. The only problem I have been noticing is that everyone has spoiled him so much that he has put on a lot of weight due to the extra food and treats and the fact that he just is not as active as he was before he became a tripawd. I worry that he will hurt himself or one of his remaining legs. It doesn’t seem to worry Louie though. He just goes about his daily routine as if nothing has changed. I can’t express how surprised and thankful I am that I have gotten 18 months with my Lou. We just continue to enjoy every single moment and try to make each day fun and memorable. Louie sends big sloppy mastiff kisses to everyone. This was Louie on the 4th of February exactly 18 months after his amputation doing what he always loves to do.     🙂

I CANNOT believe Louie is now 1 1/2 years post amp!! BIG LOU, OUR FAVORITE ROCK STAR OF ALL TIME, CONTINUES TO INSPIRE AND SPREAD HIS MAGIC TO EVERYONE!!!

Sue, you and Big Lou have come soooo far and overcome soooooo many hurdles! 🙂 🙂 Big Lou jist dealt with whatever was thrown his way, plowed through it, and just got on with living!! And so did you! 🙂

It lights up my world to see how happy Louie is playing with his Pal King. I remember how happy you were, as were they, as were we, when they first got to see each other after recovery. 🙂 🙂

Yeah, it was hard for me ro keep my Happy Hannah from being a bit …er…fluffy! Treats just made her so happy…and seeing her happy is what I loved for!! Louie looks very fit and “firm”! He’s a “well muscled” boy! 🙂

HAPPY ONE YEAR AND SIX MONTH AMPUVERSARY BIG LOUIE!!! YOU KEEP ‘EM COMING!!!! WE LOVE CELEBRATING WITH YOU!! And we love these great updates and we always love seeing pictures and videos of you!!

Ice cream and cake for everyone! 🙂

PS. I know Nemo wasn’t doing well in your last post. Don’t know if he had to head to the Bridge where he could watch over you and Big Lou. I do know, he had a great time being loved by you!
